Income Tax officials Make a raid at Katrina's Home

The Bollywood divas, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif had surprise visitors today at their doorsteps. We are not talking about Shahid Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor but Income Tax officials consisting of 50 members including officers and clerks at their respective premises for suspected tax evasion. The raids started around 7.30 am simultaneously at 12 sites, including the residences of the two actresses in the western suburbs. Priyanka's home in Versova, Andheri West, was raided. Also homes of Priyanka and Katrina’s secretaries, their respective office premises and other locations were raided, the official said. The income tax department had earlier sent several notices to both the actresses, seeking details of their finances but failed to get a satisfactory response. It seems both the actresses were a little too busy to pay their Income Tax.

Endhiran Advance Booking

It is a practice in the film industry to begin the advance booking of a film just one week prior to its release. But Endhiran has broken all barriers and the advance booking commenced 10 days before the release date.
The advance booking is on full swing in several theatres in the Chennai city. But this is being done only in theatres and not at the multiplexes. The multiplexes are, however, booking bulk orders from their corporate clients.

Endhiran is a big budget film which is produced by Sun Pictures. The film is directed by Shankar and has Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead.

Rajini to Himalayas- During endhiran release

Superstar Rajinikanth's sentiment, among many, is to spend peaceful time, in a spiritual place, before the release of his film. Even last time, before the release of Sivaji, Rajini flew to the Himalayas and spent some time there. This time around, Rajini had already planned to go on a spiritual visit after his daughter Soundarya's marriage and before the release of Endhiran. As everything has gone according to plan without any hiccups, Rajini will make a trip shortly to the Holy lands of Hardwar to recuperate himself.

Ironically, his daughter Soundarya and son-in-law Ashwin will be flying to a secluded island in the Indian Ocean for their honeymoon. As is also customary, the entire family will get together for the release of the movie and watch it First Day First Show at the Albert Theatre.

Reason For delayed release of Endhiran

The wait for Endhiran seems to be over as it has been officially announced that the film will be released on October 1, 2010. The reasons told for the delay in release are many. Sources from Kollywood inform that the film's release has been delayed because of one main reason. It is told that since the verdict on the Ayodhya Babri Masjid issue is due on September 24, 2010, the producers did not want to risk by releasing the movie on the same day.
In fact, the release dates of many other movies which are slated to be released on or around the September 24 date are also being revised. Whatever the case may be, we all await the gala opening of the superstar's Endiran!

Endhiran Heroine's involvement

Aishwarya Rai, heroine of Endhiran, has always involved herself in social activities. She had been a part of the Cancer Patients Aid Association ever since she won the Miss World title. Recently, Ash, with fellow actor Akshay Kumar, was seen at the CPA association spending time with the patients there. As a goodwill gesture, she announced that the she has adopted two cancer patients and will pay for their treatment. She also requested other people to come forward and do the same too.

Akshay Kumar, who was also present, said that he could feel the pain of the patients of the association. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar's father had also suffered from cancer.

Endhiran- Overseas ticket sales magic

The advance booking for Endhiran began at Jackson Heights, a theatre in New York, US, two weeks prior to the release of the film following huge expectations among the fans. The theatre authorities were reportedly surprised to find that all the tickets for the first week shows were sold within 10 minutes of opening the booking.
Endhiran also gets the distinction of being the first Indian film in the US where the tickets were sold within a few minutes of commencing the advance booking.

The reason for its immense popularity is the star cast, which comprises of Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai, producer Sun Pictures, director Shankar and music director AR Rahman.

Endhiran Magic

Sun Pictures’ CEO Hansraj Saxena, during the audio launch of Ithanai Nalai Engirundhai, has said that Endhiran has been certified with a U certificate. He added that plans are afoot to make 2000 prints of the film and release it worldwide. However, Saxena did not announce the release date but merely said that it would hit the screens soon.

Earlier during this event, Congress leader KV Thangkabalu released the audio of Ithanai Nalai Engirundhai and Saxena received the first copy from him.
